Founder, Clinical Director, and Therapist
Cynthia Byron is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Board Certified Counselor in Pennsylvania, and a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, and the founder of Ujima Life Services. With over a decade of experience in holistic mental health, Cynthia is deeply committed to healing that centers the lived experiences of Black and Brown communities. Her work integrates traditional psychotherapy with a whole-person approach—addressing not only thoughts and emotions, but also nutrition, movement, sleep, spirituality, and connection to nature.
She believes that healing is a communal act, and created Ujima Life Services to embody the principle of Ujima—collective work and responsibility. Her clinical work is rooted in cultural humility, ancestral wisdom, and practical strategies for emotional wellness.
In addition to her work with clients, Cynthia is available for workshops, speaking engagements, and consultations with schools, community organizations, and wellness providers.
