Group Therapy
Healing does not always happen one conversation at a time. Sometimes it happens in community.
Group therapy provides a supportive environment where people can learn, grow, and connect with others who may be facing similar life experiences. Led by a licensed mental health professional, groups combine education, skill building, discussion, and mutual support while maintaining a safe and respectful atmosphere.
At Ujima Life Services, our groups are designed to reflect the same community-centered, culturally responsive philosophy that guides our individual counseling services. We believe there is strength in learning alongside others and discovering that you are not alone in your experiences.
Current and planned groups may include:
Perimenopause & Midlife Wellness – Support for women navigating the physical, emotional, and relational changes of midlife.
Anxiety Management – Practical strategies for reducing anxiety, building resilience, and improving daily functioning.
Depression Recovery – Education, support, and skill-building for individuals living with depression.
Stress & Burnout for Educators – Helping teachers and school professionals manage stress while supporting their own well-being.
Caregiver Support – A space for individuals caring for aging parents, partners, or loved ones.
Women’s Wellness Groups – Programs focused on emotional wellness, relationships, personal growth, and life transitions.
Additional groups may be offered throughout the year based on community needs and interest.
Group therapy may be covered by insurance when medically appropriate and as part of an individual’s treatment plan.
