Clinical Supervision & Peer Consultation

Therapist supervising pre-licensed counselor - supervision and peer consultation services

Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision is more than completing licensure requirements. It is an opportunity to develop your clinical skills, strengthen your professional identity, and grow into the therapist you aspire to become.

At Ujima Life Services, supervision is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in both clinical excellence and cultural responsiveness. Whether you are developing assessment skills, refining treatment planning, navigating ethical questions, or building confidence as a clinician, supervision is designed to help you integrate knowledge with thoughtful, ethical practice.

Supervision is available for associate licensed clinicians working toward independent licensure in Pennsylvania.

Our supervision process emphasizes:

Clinical assessment and case conceptualization
Ethical and professional decision-making
Evidence-based interventions
Cultural humility and culturally responsive practice
Documentation and treatment planning
Professional identity development
Self-awareness and clinician wellness
We believe good supervision should challenge, encourage, and prepare clinicians for independent practice while honoring their unique strengths and professional goals.

Important Information

Clinical supervision is a professional service and is provided by appointment.

Supervision is not connected to employment with Ujima Life Services, and participation does not include referral of clients or a guarantee of future employment.

Peer Consultation

Even experienced clinicians benefit from the opportunity to reflect, collaborate, and learn with colleagues.

Peer consultation provides a supportive, professional space to discuss clinical cases, explore ethical considerations, strengthen clinical decision-making, and share resources with other mental health professionals. While consultation is not clinical supervision, it offers valuable opportunities for continued learning and professional growth throughout every stage of a clinician’s career.

At Ujima Life Services, peer consultation is grounded in mutual respect, thoughtful discussion, and culturally responsive practice. Sessions encourage participants to think critically, broaden perspectives, and strengthen their confidence while maintaining the highest standards of client care.

Topics may include:

Clinical interventions
Ethical and legal considerations
Clinical interventions
Cultural responsiveness and humility
Professional boundaries

Building and sustaining a private practice
